A timelesz start

Today the digital version of Rock This Party by the new 8-member timelesz is available globally. There is also Hello! We're timelesz released, which is a special digital album with a mix of songs released by the 3-member timelesz and Sexy Zone

Of course I bought Rock This Party immediately, as I am one of those dozens of people that doesn't like to use streaming services to listen to my music. But even with that hang up I did listen to a few of the songs on Hello! We're timelesz to check if there were any re-recordings. There are not from what I can tell, and honestly it's probably a bit too early for the majority of fans to be okay for older songs to be re-recorded with the current line-up.

Either way this feels like the first official step for the group and I could not be more excited for them. And it also helps that I really liked Rock This Party so I was more than happy to add it to my music library.

While the Hello! We're timelesz does not have any new songs, it does finally allow those who live outside of Japan easy legal access to them for the first time. And when I looked at the track list I could tell that the songs selected were to serve as a blueprint for the kind of music the group is going to aim to make going forward. Out of the Sexy Zone songs that they selected that were not a part of the self-titled EP released last year, they are mostly from the most recent years. Of course some were performed in the audition program, so it is no surprise that they are now officially a part of the timelesz discography. But overall it is probably safe to say that these songs are going to be able to fit along with future releases.

In the end though, I look forward to the future arguments of what timelesz's debut date is. lol

This wasn't on my 2025 bingo card.

Hey, guess who decided that they needed to start blogging again?

Of course with how the internet is these days I have no idea if there is anyone that will read my thoughts, but I started blogging shouting into the void so that will be nothing new.

So much has changed in the past few years I haven't used this blog but one thing that always remained was my love for the idols that make up the agency currently known as Starto. And recently I have found myself truly missing the deep amount of information I knew about the idols and agency. Sure I still have my memories from the time I was most active in the fandom, but I missing about a decade worth of happenings from stepping back for a while.

Also I do have K-pop groups that I love and will not be leaving their fandoms for anytime soon. Though I do feel like I am ready to step back from K-pop as a whole. I'll stick to my favorite groups of course but I am not going to make myself feel forced to keep up with everything that is happening with that industry. It has grown far too big for that, and I overall still connect with J-pop more the K-pop in general. K-pop is just easier to follow as it has broken in to the Western market, something J-pop is still struggling to do.

Of course one of the big changes is that J-pop now is more accessible than it has been than it ever was. The only reason I have an active Netflix account is because of the amount of J-pop and J-drama content it currently has. And if the new program that sounds like a successor to The Shounen Club that will be available on Amazon Prime Japan becomes available in the US version of Amazon Prime I will finally break down and get that service. And I hate Amazon. But I just love Starto that much. Plus I will have the Gokusen J-drama series available for me to watch legally. And that remains as my favorite J-drama series to this day.

So hopefully this is not going to be a random one off post and I start writing here on the regular. I truly have missed blogging like this and would love to start once more. And there is so much happening with my Asian pop fandoms right now there should be plenty for me to yap on about. So hopefully I will be back with a more proper fandom post.
